Overview

Applications Analyst

6 Month Contract - Bell Block based

Our client is a well-established Energy company in New Zealand. They are now after an Applications Analyst to support their service delivery team in their New Plymouth branch where you’ll play a key role in supporting, monitoring, and maintaining business critical applications. As the 2nd level technical expert, you’ll troubleshoot issues, minimise incidents, and ensure smooth deployment of system changes.

This is a contracted role with Immediate availability.

Role Responsibilities
  • Provide responsive application support and resolve incidents within SLAs.
  • Analyse, test, and maintain applications while contributing to upgrades and enhancements.
  • Collaborate with 3rd level support and external vendors to drive resolutions
  • Build strong working relationships across teams and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Document processes, share knowledge, and support continuous improvement.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have
  • Tertiary qualification in computer science/technology or equivalent
  • 3+ Years IT experience in application support and maintenance
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and knowledge of Microsoft systems
  • Experience with ITIL practices and process documentation
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Analytically minded
  • Proactive team player with great initiative
