Are you ready to enable the future of learning at Auckland Council? As our new Learning Experience Designer, you'll provide expert technical services and develop innovative solutions that address learning needs, ensuring alignment with strategic goals. You'll lead and contribute to the design and implementation of cutting-edge learning solutions—from needs analysis to implementation and evaluation—working closely with learners, subject matter experts, and suppliers. You will also support the strategic planning and prioritization of high-impact L&OD projects, building effective relationships with stakeholders to ensure targeted and impactful delivery. This role also involves contributing to our success in a range of ways, including facilitating workshops, designing eLearning and creating video and audio resources. The ability to learn quickly and adapt is key.

Our ideal candidate will have a delivery-focused, inclusive, and adaptable mindset with excellent communication skills. We will also be looking for:

  • At least 3 years of experience in Learning and Development including experience in instructional design
  • Ability to present and speak confidently in public
  • A passion for learning and the ability to effectively pass this on to others
  • A relevant bachelor’s degree in fields such as Business, Human Resource Management, Organisational Development, Communication, or an equivalent area in Learning & Development
