PEC is an international technology supplier, committed to enable the production of green batteries for a Blue Planet. We are looking for a Technical Purchaser to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is based at our new site in Penang, Malaysia. By joining us, you will contribute to building the first large scale battery factories in Asia, Europe and the United States.

• Procurement of mechanical and electrical components for our production facilities in Malaysia.
• Defining the needs and organizing purchasing actions in cooperation with our Engineering and R&D departments.
• Reporting and maintaining all procurement data in our SAP system.
• Following up purchase order timings, up to arrival in the requesting site.
• Maintaining excellent partnerships with our suppliers and selecting new suppliers taking into account product cost / transport cost / conditions.
• Occasional visits to suppliers and subcontractors in South East Asia.

• A Technical Master or Bachelor.
• Proven experience in a technical purchasing role with international vendors.
• Strong skills in organization, networking and negotiation.
• A result-oriented and entrepreneurial mindset and is confident in the face of challenges.
• Knowledge of purchasing procedures in SAP.
