Job summary

A leading academic institution in Sepang, Selangor is seeking a qualified AV Equipment Technician. This role involves the installation, operation, and maintenance of audio-visual systems for company events. The ideal candidate will have a vocational college diploma and 2–5 years of experience, preferably in the AV field. Flexibility in working hours is required to accommodate events. The role includes troubleshooting AV systems and managing equipment inventory, ensuring peak performance during operations.

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in networks and computers.
  • Preferably certification in Audio & Visual systems.
  • Flexibility to work outside normal business hours when required.

Responsibilities

  • Pre-arrange, install, operate, and dismantle audio-visual (AV) equipment for events.
  • Ensure all AV systems are operating at peak performance.
  • Monitor system upgrades and schedule updates as needed.

Pre‑arrange, install, operate, and dismantle audio‑visual (AV) equipment for company events

Ensure all AV systems are operating at peak performance

Troubleshoot and adjust AV systems when issues arise

Manage usage of recording, photography, and video equipment

Conduct equipment tests and resolve problems before events

Maintain inventory of AV equipment and supplies to meet company needs

Analyze company technology requirements and develop appropriate systems / software

Implement hardware and software solutions, conduct tests, and maintain ongoing operations

Monitor system upgrades and schedule updates as needed

Create work assignments, assemble installation teams, and oversee Service Desk operations

Perform other related duties as required

Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, when necessary

Maintain and service audio & video equipment with detailed technical knowledge

Responsibilities

Qualifications
  • Vocational College diploma or equivalent
  • 2–5 years of experience working with networks and computers, including experience in the audio‑visual field
  • Preferably certification in Audio & Visual systems
  • Strong technical knowledge of AV setup, operation, and servicing
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work outside normal business hours when required
