A logistics company in Malaysia is seeking an Operations Assistant to support managers and teams with daily activities and ad hoc projects. The role involves ensuring compliance with SOPs, monitoring stock discrepancies, and maintaining safety and housekeeping standards. Candidates should have a Diploma in a related field and be able to thrive under pressure while focusing on continuous improvement and operational success. Flexibility for after-hours work is required.
To assist manager, Line leader and team leader to perform day to day operational activities/ ad hoc project, and ensure that task carried out in accordance to SOPs
Establish close working relationships with all Operational Business department, Section Heads, Marketplace team and Client Services Team in communication, development and follow up on inventory/ complaint issues/ parcel dispute/ trade return collection/ SAP transactions/ UAT scenario related to marketplace.
To make sure that all the short expiry/ expired stocks are consolidate into dedicated lock and cage locations
To ensure that all scrap note that to be disposed are sent for destruction.
To perform system material maintenance and update upon request.
To monitor stock on hand and investigate root cause of stock discrepancy reported by internal customers and initiate corrective action.
Work closely with line leader, team leader and managers to ensure daily activities are completed without delay.
Deliver agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
To ensure safety of people, stocks, infrastructure and equipment is observed at all time.
To ensure and maintain good housekeeping and 5S.
Perform other duties as assigned when required.
Minimum of a Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
A proactive problem-solver with a strong focus on continuous improvement.
Flexibility to be available after normal business hours when required to ensure operational success.
