A construction company in Kuala Lumpur is looking for a Contracts Administrator to assist in managing contracts. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent, along with 2-3 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include preparing contracts, monitoring project costs, and liaising with stakeholders on contractual matters. Strong analytical and negotiation skills are required for success in this role. The position also involves understanding of contract laws and relevant software tools.
Assist in preparing, reviewing, and administering contracts, subcontracts, and related documents.
Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions, legal requirements, and company policies.
Maintain proper records and documentation for all contract-related matters.
Assist in preparing tender documents, bills of quantities (BQ), and cost estimates.
Evaluate and analyze subcontractor/supplier quotations.
Support in negotiations and finalization of subcontractor/supplier agreements.
Monitor project costs against budget and highlight variances.
Support in preparing cost reports and cash flow forecasts.
Assist in identifying, evaluating, and preparing progress claims and variation orders.
Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, and clients to resolve contractual issues.
Measurement, taking-off quantity, cost break-down for valuation and justification.
Assist in preparing subcontract’s agreement or Letter of Award, interim valuations, progress claims, and final accounts
Work closely with project teams to provide contractual and commercial support.
Liaise with consultants, clients, and subcontractors on contractual matters.
Ensure adherence to statutory requirements and company policies in contract management.
Highlight contractual risks and propose mitigation measures.
Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or equivalent.
2–3 years of relevant working experience in contracts administration, preferably with a main contractor.
Knowledge of contract law, construction contracts (PAM, JKR, CIDB, etc.), and procurement processes.
Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and in a team.
Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCad and contract management software is an added advantage
