✅ Who We're Looking For
We hire for a variety of positions, including :
- Galley Utility – Responsible for cleaning and maintaining all kitchen areas
- Assistant Cook – Preps and supports kitchen production across stations
- Cook – Handles full food preparation with knowledge of recipes, portions, and quality
- Chef de Partie – Leads a kitchen station and supports menu execution and training
🎯 Key Responsibilities (depending on role)
- Prepare meals in line with Viking’s standard recipes and safety procedures
- Maintain mise-en-place before service and ensure stations are always ready
- Follow strict hygiene, safety, and public health standards
- Work efficiently to reduce waste and ensure product quality
- Keep kitchen areas clean at all times ("clean as you go" policy)
- Rotate between sections and support other team members as needed
- Wear proper PPE and comply with company grooming standards
- Attend daily team briefings ("Daily Reunion") to align on service goals
- Assist with storage, inventory, and kitchen equipment upkeep

- Must pass a medical exam as part of onboarding
- May be asked to submit a short video introduction (optional)
- Expect to work 11 hours / day, 7 days / week onboard

Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a professional kitchen (higher roles require more)
- Culinary education is a plus but not required for entry-level positions
- English communication skills (spoken and reading recipes)
- Excellent hygiene and food safety practices
- Physical ability to lift 50 lbs and work long hours in high-paced environments
- Cruise ship or hotel kitchen experience is a strong asset
- Minimum age : 21 years
