Role Overview

As a member of the AN leadership team, the Software Head will drive the organization’s growth, add value to customers, and ensure that our products are designed, developed, and verified on time, within budget, and with the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the Software organization in infrastructure setup, resource management, competence & people management, budgeting, and customer management.
• Deploy and execute footprint strategy in collaboration with PL location head and partner location.
• Define structure and provide staffing and retention strategy for internal and external resources of the location.
• Deliver high‑quality products that meet process standards and quality KPIs.
• Manage escalation for topics that cannot be handled within the project structure.
• Serve as strategic interface to AN Software Engineering and central areas for roadmap definition and roll‑out of Process, Methods, Tools.
• Mentor and coach agile teams and other line leaders.
• Drive continuous improvement to increase development efficiency.
• Support definition of product‑line roadmap for product development activities and future technologies.
• Empower local talent by increasing speed of execution, delegating ownership, and integrating local know‑how and experience.

Qualifications

• University degree in engineering relevant domain.
• Proven record leading large development teams (3+ years).
• Experience in customer‑facing roles (3+ years).
• Technical experience in Telematics products (5+ years).
• Demonstrated experience in product‑development processes, tools, methodologies, and metrics (5+ years).
• Experience working in international & multi‑cultural environments (3+ years).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Experience in coaching, facilitating, and conflict resolution.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ASPICE or other quality frameworks.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.
• Experience leading or coaching other leaders.
