Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and results‑driven Shopper Marketing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will combine sales experience with shopper & trade marketing expertise, have strong data analysis skills, and be ready to contribute to trade/channel marketing initiatives aligned with portfolio strategy and channel priorities.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute quarterly and monthly shopper marketing plans to support sales objectives and drive growth.
- Use shopper journey knowledge and consumer behavior insights to identify purchase triggers and barriers in channels such as Kirana, Wholesale, and Other Channels.
- Own the end‑to‑end process of shopper marketing initiatives, from planning to timely execution, tracking, and reporting on key performance metrics.
- Collaborate with sales teams and category development marketers to identify key opportunities and develop targeted marketing programs and trade/shopper promotions that drive sell‑through and market share gains.
- Work effectively with vendors (creative agencies, POSM agencies) to deliver best‑in‑class point‑of‑sale communication.
- Utilize data analysis and market research to identify trends, opportunities, and optimization areas within the trade/channel landscape.
- Leverage data management tools such as Power BI and other analytics platforms to gather, analyze, and interpret data for informed decision‑making and rapid course corrections.
- Monitor market activity, industry trends, and external syndicated data to identify differentiation and competitive advantage opportunities.
- Drive innovation and creativity in shopper marketing strategies and tactics to maintain a competitive edge.
KPI’s
- Quality of Plans: Use data and market insights to develop sharp programs that drive growth.
- Delivery of Plans: Own end‑to‑end activity of program planning, ensuring seamless execution, timely rollouts, and effective POSM elements.
- Efficiency of Execution: Implement impactful and easy‑to‑execute POSM elements and optimal schemes/promotions.
- Use of Syndicated Data: Inform adaptive marketing strategies to drive market share and penetration/expansion in GT channel.
- Quality of Analysis: Conduct 360‑degree analysis of programs to uphold quality and effectiveness standards.
- Agility & Course Correction: Use data and insights for timely adjustments to meet desired results.
- Budget Management: Manage POSM, trade/channel spends (schemes/loyalty programs).
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
- Proven experience in sales combined with at least 2 years in shopper/trade marketing.
- Strong data analysis skills, with experience using Power BI, Excel, and other analytics platforms.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with keen eye for detail and ability to draw actionable insights from complex data sets.
- Strong project management skills, able to prioritize, multitask, and meet tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to work with cross‑functional teams.
- Self‑starter with strategic mindset, passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
