Job Description

QAD is seeking a Senior Accounting Analyst who can, under moderate direction, provide accurate, consistent, timely and reliable financial information and analysis, while working with teams in the Americas.

What you’ll do

• Prepare and record asset, liability and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
• Includes tax, legal, professional fees, consulting, marketing and other services accruals at month-end.
• Performs standard month-end account reconciliations such as bank reconciliations, prepaids & deposits, intangibles and liabilities.
• Prepare standardized project and account trend analyses and provide explanations for variances or trends.
• Assist with annual external audit and management’s review questions.
• Complete requested materials.
• Assist in preparing assigned schedules for the annual and interim audit.
• Prepare Inter-Company load files for various activities such as cross charges, global services, personnel charges and interest.
• Assist with testing and help enhance software functionality for system reports required for management, financial reporting and general ledger reconciliations.
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organizations.
• Contribute to department and organization special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Education / Licenses : Bachelors of Science in Accounting or equivalent from an accredited university.
• Experience : Minimum of 3-5 years in accounting; public company experience preferred.
• Computer skills : Intermediate to advanced MS Office, especially Excel; Gmail business app, Hyperion or similar reporting software.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of major accounting software for both general ledger and statutory accounting.
• Other knowledge or skills : Strong research, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, confidentiality, able to multi-task and meet deadlines in a multi-cultural, fast-paced environment.
• Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US and Mexico).
• Knowledge of Mexico Statutory accounting principles.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
