We are seeking a Product Engineer to join our team, reporting to the Product Engineer Manager. The Product Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, modifying, and evaluating automotive sensor products, providing technical recommendations, and ensuring conformance with specifications. The role involves performing focused technical assignments within larger projects, under general supervision.

About the job:
  • Design ownership of automotive sensor products manufactured in Piedras Negras.
  • Ensure product performance and clarify technical requirements with customers.
  • Participate in automotive sensor projects, including new product development, modifications, and cost reductions.
  • Create test and validation plans, evaluate results, and communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Model and produce engineering drawings using Unigraphics NX and manage CAD files within our internal system.
  • Manage engineering changes and deviations, supporting them with analysis and testing, and following internal review processes.
  • Conduct problem-solving activities, root cause analysis, and product testing to address production or raw material issues.
  • Collaborate with global teams to resolve problems and support customer needs.
  • Location: Piedras Negras, Coahuila.
About you:
  • Engineering degree in Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronic, Industrial, or related fields.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English (minimum 90%), with additional languages considered a plus.
  • 2-5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of sensors and automotive processes is advantageous; experience in regulated industries like medical or aerospace is a plus.
  • Proficient in 3D CAD and 2D engineering drawings.
  • Experience with problem-solving methodologies such as Six Sigma, DOE, or Jidoka.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of interpreting technical and business information and presenting to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in MS Office suite.
  • Experience in multinational corporations is advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.
