A leading global professional services company is seeking a Planner for Oil & Gas Projects in Tampico, Mexico. You will be responsible for the development of project programmes, baseline management, and updates. A mandatory Engineering degree and at least 10 years of relevant experience are required. Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the development of programmes, baseline management and progress updates.
  • On-site work, based at Tampico, Mexico.
  • Expert in the use of MS Project planning software, 90‑day schedule, pointing out shortfalls and recommending improvements.
  • Creation of programmes using 'Critical Path Methodology' and reporting against the programme for planning reports and related project controls disciplines.
  • Planning for the whole construction process from inception to completion and creating programmes underpinned by a basis of programme narrative.
  • Working with the wider project team in presenting programme information to stakeholders.
  • Support the monthly update in line with reporting cycle and set in place reports and processes that suit the client or project team, including the use of key interfaces and earned value calculations.
  • Review contractors' programmes for acceptance in line with contractual obligations and manage the relationship and ongoing submission of contractors' programmes.
  • Creation and regular production of progress reports.
  • Attend progress review meetings as required.
  • Where necessary undertake or contribute to what‑if scenarios to show the effect of potential changes.
  • Manage the interface between the various contracts.
Qualifications
  • Engineering degree mandatory; degree in any related discipline with at least 10 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Good experience with conceptual design / FEED / EPC phase of major oil and gas projects.
  • Experienced in using planning tools: Primavera P6.
  • Business level communication skills in English (written and verbal).
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and proactively as part of a committed team.
