Overview
The role executes operations related to Outbound freight, US domestic movements and in-transit units. This role acts as a full-service Logistics representative for Joybird, Nest, and the related dealers, CS representatives, carriers, RDCs, and warehouse personnel.
Responsibilities
- Ensure LTL shipments are properly loaded, routed, and delivered in a safe, economical, and efficient manner.
- Monitors shipments until completed.
- Answers emails from Dealers and RDCs.
- It is in direct and constant communication with Import/Export, JB2 Warehouse, carriers, and RDC’s, customer care and Joybird support email.
- Refers issues as appropriate to the first level of escalation for resolution.
- Process Carta Porte, Bill of ladings, Packing lists, and tenders to the carrier.
- Data entry for customs process, validation and correction if needed
- Close shipments and add tracking.
- Answers calls and e-mails from carriers, dealers, sales reps, customer service Reps, RDCs, etc.
- Manages swap outs, returns/pickups in Case Center.
- Shipping order data: Final mile order data.
- Transfers: LTL and Parcel.
- Supports all stores’ deliveries, new and remerches.
- Monitors all orders In-Transit to make sure they are received and scheduled for delivery.
- Tracks and traces, obtains proof of deliveries, and monitors time sensitive deliveries and expedites products if necessary.
- Arranges special shipments of product requiring special handling.
- Freight quotes requests.
- Supports processing CP, BOL, PL for inbound and outbound shipments when needed.
- Investigations and resolutions of all shipping incidents including but not limited to boxing errors, overages, shortages, loading errors, and delivery problems.
- Supports with administrative logistics activities, such as requisitions, purchase orders control, invoices, etc.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in International Business or related field with 1 - 2 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications.
- Multi-discipline transportation experience including FTL, LTL, Parcel, Multi-stop, and Pool. Strong Customs and International Shipping experience is a must.
- Experience with transportation management operations and call center environments.
- Strong ability to communicate effectively with outside parties, plant staff, and customers.
- Strong ability to anticipate consequences and appropriately interpret multi-dimensional decision tree procedures.
- Adaptability to changing business conditions.
- Written and spoken English, advanced level.
- Up to 5% Travel Required.
