A global healthcare company in Mexico City is seeking a Legal & Compliance Sr Manager to drive the Legal Ethics & Compliance strategy. The role requires extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, strong legal expertise, and the ability to manage and influence stakeholders. Applicants must be qualified lawyers with at least 8 years in compliance roles and fluency in English is essential.

Formación

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Legal and Compliance roles within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong understanding of the legal and regulatory framework governing the pharmaceutical sector.
  • Proven experience leading functions or driving organisational change at various levels.

If so we're looking for you as our next Legal & Compliance Sr Manager at Novo Nordisk Mexico.

Your new role

In this role you will contribute to national and regional cross-functional teams to sup‑port and execute the affiliates Legal Ethics & Compliance (LEC) strategy. As the subject matter expert for cardiometabolic‑related LEC matters you will play a vital role in driv‑ing innovation ensuring robust Intellectual Property (IP) protection and providing proactive business‑focused legal and compliance guidance across the affiliate.

Key responsibilities
  • Actively participate in cross‑functional national and regional teams to drive the implementation of the affiliates LEC strategy.
  • Serve as the key account manager and subject matter expert on LEC matters for the cardiometabolic business within the affiliate.
  • Represent LEC in cardiometabolic LAP reviews and provide review and sign‑off on BU public affairs and medical strategies and plans.
  • Offer proactive and holistic legal and compliance advice including risk assess‑ments to safeguard patient interests and support sustainable business growth.
  • Ensure effective intellectual property (IP) protection including managing patent and trademark portfolios prosecution enforcement and coordination with ex‑ternal counsel.
  • Drive innovation and challenge the status quo in support of business goals and ethical compliance.
  • Conduct focused LEC training sessions for the affiliates cardiometabolic busi‑ness unit to strengthen compliance awareness and capabilities.

Your skills & Qualifications
  • Law degree (qualified lawyer).
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Legal and Compliance roles within the pharmaceutical industry with a strong understanding of the legal and regulatory framework governing the pharmaceutical sector with exposure to IP strategy development as a plus.
  • Proven experience leading functions or driving organisational change at local regional or global level.
  • Demonstrated ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders across func‑tions including policy‑makers, regulators and media.
  • Excellent communication, writing and presentation skills with the ability to challenge constructively and manage multiple priorities under pressure.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken)
