Director of Scheduling - Midwest / Southeast - Travel Required

We are recruiting on behalf of a nationally recognized, top-tier general contractor with a strong presence in the Detroit market. Our client is seeking a Director of Scheduling to lead enterprise-level scheduling strategy and support large, complex construction projects across multiple commercial sectors. This role is highly visible and plays a critical part in driving operational performance and long-term company strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and standardize scheduling strategy, best practices, and processes across regional and project teams.
  • Oversee the development, maintenance, and analysis of baseline, master, and recovery schedules from preconstruction through project closeout.
  • Provide proactive schedule risk analysis, forecasting, and mitigation strategies for complex, fast-paced projects.
  • Partner with preconstruction and operations teams to support pursuits, phasing studies, and overall project planning.
  • Mentor, manage, and develop a team of schedulers to ensure consistency, accuracy, and high performance.
  • Deliver clear schedule reporting, KPIs, and executive-level presentations to senior leadership.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to project and executive teams, influencing sequencing, logistics, and project delivery strategy.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of construction scheduling experience on large-scale commercial or industrial projects.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience overseeing regional or enterprise scheduling functions.
  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6.
  • Strong command of critical path method (CPM), sequencing, schedule risk analysis, and recovery planning.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with executive leadership and influence high-level project decisions.
  • Experience supporting complex, multi-stakeholder, fast-track construction environments.
  • Base salary up to $230,000, depending on experience.
  • Significant annual bonus potential tied to company and project performance.
  • Long-term profit sharing program aligned with leadership tenure and results.
