Corporate Control North America Team is a center of excellence delivering financial services and capabilities for North America in partnership with our managed services providers. Services are provided for PepsiCo PQGC divisions. The campus is located in Mexico City.

This Control and Reporting Accountant position is within the Accounting Services Group of PepsiCo Corporate. This position is responsible for performing the day-to-day activities of the FICO sustaining organization at the enterprise-wide level for SAP General Ledger structure and tasks. The Accountant provides SAP period close and master data guidance and support for all divisions in the current SAP North America platform for both SAP R/3 ECC and SAP S/4 HANA, also provides PepsiCo Global Chart of Accounts support for SAP NA divisions and the SAP international sectors. Job responsibilities include completing period close tasks, loading and reconciling data, processing journal entries, running batch jobs, executing Sarbanes-Oxley controls, providing end-user guidance/training, implementing process improvements, and supporting request/projects.

Your Impact

As a Control & Reporting Accountant, you will:

  • Provide master data maintenance ownership, guidance, and support for cost centers and profit centers for all SAP R/3 ECC and S/4 HANA PQGC divisions.
  • Provide PepsiCo SAP Global Chart of Accounts ownership, guidance, and support for SAP R/3 ECC NA divisions, PIRT international sectors, and SAP S/4 HANA PQGC divisions.
  • Complete and reconcile SAP ECC General Ledger period activity loads into the BCS Business Consolidation System, used for internal and external reporting.
  • Complete and reconcile the final S/4 HANA to Group Reporting activity loads for both local and group currency, used for internal and external reporting.
  • Execute periodic close tasks, such as opening/closing SAP S/4 HANA, SAP ECC, BCS, and HCM, loading ECC master data to BCS, loading Treasury Forex rates, monitoring interfaces, and purging parked documents.
  • Prepare and process periodic manual journal entries and batch jobs in SAP ECC and S/4 HANA, including payroll transfers, intercompany transactions, foreign currency revaluation, and recurring entries.
  • Execute Group Reporting data monitor loads during period close and perform final close tasks after the S/4 ledger is closed.
  • Participate in period-end close calls attended by Directors/Senior Managers of each SAP division.
  • Perform year-end activities, such as executing year-end loads, balance carry forwards, and purging entries.
  • Provide Sarbanes-Oxley key control ownership, documentation, and audit support.
  • Partner with end-users and IT for technical support, troubleshooting, and system improvements.
  • Implement continuous improvements through Robotic Process Automation (RPA).
  • Contribute to projects and ad hoc requests, like setting up new legal entities or implementing new initiatives.
  • Collaborate on daily support and provide occasional off-hour support for period close and testing.
  • Seek growth and development opportunities.

  • Intermediate MS Excel skills.

  • Robotic Process Automation (RPA) experience such as UiPath or Winshuttle.
