Position Overview

As Commis Bar (Barback), you support the bar team in delivering fast, efficient, and high‑quality beverage service. This role is essential to the smooth operation of the bar, ensuring bartenders are fully supported during service and that Nikki Beach bar standards are upheld at all times. It is an excellent entry‑level position for someone looking to build a career in bartending within a luxury hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support bartenders during service by restocking bar supplies, ice, glassware, and garnishes
• Assist with bar mise en place before service and breakdown after service
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, back bar, and storage areas
• Prepare basic garnishes and assist with simple drink preparation as directed
• Ensure fridges, shelves, and bar stations are fully stocked and organized
• Collect, wash, and polish glassware to Nikki Beach standards
• Assist with receiving deliveries and proper storage of beverages and supplies
• Follow hygiene, health & safety, and alcohol service regulations
• Dispose of waste properly and support waste reduction practices
• Communicate clearly with bartenders and bar management during service
• Be flexible and assist with other bar or floor tasks when required

What We’re Looking For

• 6 months to 1 year of experience in a bar, restaurant, or hospitality environment (Entry‑level candidates with strong motivation and willingness to learn will be considered)
• Strong organizational skills to support fast‑paced bar operations
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service periods
• Teamwork and communication skills to support bartenders and service staff
