Amazon is seeking a shift manager in last‑mile execution, with four key areas that you’ll always focus on: safety, quality, customer experience, and productivity of the operation.

This role requires working with multiple business and technical teams across the company to manage successful performance, drive continuous improvement, and enhance carrier performance. The candidate must effectively influence leadership across customer‑service operations, technology teams, multiple support teams, multiple carrier partners, and senior leadership.

Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • You will be part of the Amazon Logistics Team, responsible for day‑to‑day management of the last‑mile operation in the North Region of the country; the operation focuses on delivery of Amazon orders directly to customers.
  • Amazon is seeking shift managers with the chance to be based in Saltillo, Coahuila, MX. Amazon is one of the most recognizable brand names in the world and we distribute millions of products each year to our loyal customers.

Additional job elements:

  • Setting and communicating performance goals, creating expectations and objectives to achieve customer‑promise expectations and ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Leading a team of process assistants and delivery service providers in daily management of the delivery station, including meetings, training sessions, assigning job duties, and communicating with DSPs including management representatives and their drivers.
  • Ensuring productivity execution is maximized through training, analysis, and feedback of performance data on a periodic basis.
  • Proactively identifying and leading process‑improvement initiatives and lean tools.
  • Tactical leadership of strategic initiatives.
  • Cross‑functional coordination and task tracking.
  • Communications across various areas to ensure alignment of goals and tasks to guarantee overall success of the program.
  • Strategic planning and forecasting to appraise performance and problem resolution.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Management and execution of cross‑functional projects or components of large programs including data gathering, manipulation and analysis, forward‑looking supply‑chain approaches and communication of insights & recommendations.

Key job responsibilities:

  1. Review the operational forecast and determine productivity requirements for sort operation, manage a team group to meet all building’s goals.
  2. Support all safety programs to ensure a safe work environment for all associates and delivery service providers.
  3. Proactively identify and lead process‑improvement initiatives and lean tools.
  4. Support a team of on‑the‑road (OTR) and delivery service providers in weekly management of the last‑mile operation, including meetings, training sessions, assigning job duties, data analysis, metrics reviews and communicating with DSPs including management representatives and their drivers.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
  • 1+ years of employee and performance‑management experience
  • Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
  • Can push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds during shifts
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 1+ years of performance metrics, process‑improvement or lean techniques experience
