The Sr SE has an in-depth understanding of IT infrastructure, security, virtualization, and cloud technologies. He / She will collaborate closely with the sales team to understand customer requirements, conduct product demonstrations, assist the customer / partner in a Proof of Concept setup, and articulate the value proposition of Parallels solutions. As the market is changing fast, the Sr SE is also someone who can quickly learn new technologies and understand their benefits.
Beyond technical expertise, the Sr SE is a good communicator who thrives on collaborative efforts with customers and partners. Possessing a sense of ownership and trustworthiness, they empathetically translate customer needs into tailored solutions offered by Parallels.
The ideal candidate not only possesses the necessary technical skills but is also enthusiastic about conducting occasional training sessions for partners and customers. Additionally, a willingness to travel to marketing events to provide on-booth or on-stage support is required.
This position is based in the European Union or United Kingdom and covers customers/partners mainly in Europe & Middle East. English is mandatory; additional languages are a strong plus, especially Arabic, given the focus on the Middle East.
Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed demonstrations of Parallels products.
- Provide in-depth technical assistance to potential customers.
- Take ownership of Proof of Concepts, ensuring timely completion and alignment with customer/partner requirements. Participate in design, implementation, and support of Parallels products.
- Offer guidance, recommendations, and expert advice on technical issues.
- Maintain an advanced understanding of all Parallels and related competitors’ products.
- Develop project concepts and proposals to address customer needs.
- Coordinate with Account Managers, Sales Management, and Channel Partners to optimize technical support for sales efforts.
- Manage all activities related to technical sales support for potential and existing customers.
- Plan and conduct technical training sessions and webinars, online and at partner/customer locations.
- Mentor and assist in training Sales Engineers, new hires, and the sales team as needed.
Required Skills, Technical and Non-Technical:
- At least 3 years (5+ for senior) of relevant experience in Sales Engineering within domains like application/desktop virtualization, security, or IT infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with at least one of these technologies: Parallels RAS, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktop, VMWare Horizon, Microsoft RDS, or Azure Virtual Desktop.
- Deep knowledge of Microsoft Remote Desktop Services (TS/RDSH/Application/Desktop and VDI Publishing).
- Understanding of IT infrastructure solutions related to Systems, Network, and Security.
- Experience with cloud platforms, mainly Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS.
- Ability to demonstrate products and present to technical and executive audiences.
- Strong technical documentation and communication skills.
- Excellent presentation and training skills.
Additional Requirements:
- The right attitude to compete with Citrix, VMware, and other market competitors.
- Minimum 3 years (5+ for senior) experience in Sales Engineering or as an IT Engineer.
- Minimum 3 years (5+ for senior) experience in implementing/administering virtualization systems.
- At least 3 years (5+ for senior) experience in cloud computing.
- Willingness to travel annually.
- Fluent in written and verbal English; proficiency in French, Italian, or Spanish is a secondary requirement.
This position is 100% remote, with travel up to 20% of the time.
