Role Overview
The Waiter/Waitress at Bvlgari Hotel Milano is a key ambassador of the Bvlgari brand, responsible for delivering an exceptional, refined, and personalized dining experience in line with Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts standards, Marriott International policies, and Leading Quality Assurance (LQA) guidelines. This role requires a strong attention to detail, natural elegance in service delivery, and a genuine passion for luxury hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver an impeccable food and beverage service in all assigned outlets, ensuring consistency with Bvlgari service philosophy
- Welcome guests with professionalism, warmth, and discretion, anticipating their needs and preferences
- Present menus, provide accurate information on food and beverage offerings, and make refined recommendations
- Take orders efficiently and accurately, ensuring proper communication with kitchen and Bar teams
- Serve food and beverages according to Bvlgari presentation and timing standards
- Ensure tables, stations, and service areas are always perfectly set and maintained
- Handle guest requests and complaints promptly, professionally, and in line with luxury service recovery standards
- Promote upselling opportunities while maintaining a non-intrusive, guest-centric approach
- Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and HACCP regulations
Brand, Standards & Compliance
- Act at all times as a Bvlgari brand ambassador, embodying elegance, discretion, and attention to detail
- Comply with Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts service standards, including grooming, posture, language, and service rituals
- Adhere to Marriott International policies and procedures, including Code of Conduct, safety, and operational standards
- Consistently meet and exceed Leading Quality Assurance (LQA) service expectations and audit requirements
- Maintain full compliance with internal SOPs, brand standards, and training programs
Teamwork & Collaboration
- Work closely with the Food & Beverage team to ensure seamless service flow
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen, bar, and other hotel departments
- Support new team members through example and adherence to service culture
- Participate actively in daily Line Ups, training sessions, and service improvement initiatives
Requirements & Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Waiter/Waitress in a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant
- Strong knowledge of food & beverage service standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluent in English; Italian and additional languages are considered a plus
- Professional appearance and adherence to grooming standards
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Strong attention to detail, composure under pressure, and a guest-oriented mindset
