Overview

The Opportunity: Our Technical Service Organisation currently has an open position for a Technical Service Engineer to join our team. We are looking for a motivated person with experience focusing on in-house technical maintenance, calibration, validation and repairing our sold portfolio of laboratory instruments.

Responsibilities
  • Install, repair, calibrate and validate instruments in house or at customers’ sites.
  • Process customer requests, resolve technical issues, handle general inquiries, cross-reference, expedite and communicate with internal teams, suppliers, customers and sales representatives.
  • Serve as a liaison with all parties to enable sales growth and achieve customer satisfaction in every transaction.
  • Assist the sales team with identifying solution opportunities and support related to service and applications.
  • Follow up with internal teams, suppliers and customers on outstanding issues.
  • Coordinate information flow and utilise local cross-functional contacts and the CRM database to manage customer requests and interactions.
What We Are Looking For
  • High technical / professional school qualification with 5+ years of experience in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment with solution-based selling.
  • Degree level education is advantageous.
  • Demonstrates ability to effectively use technology platforms including CRM tools.
  • Good understanding of the company’s products, services and solution offerings, as well as work processes, policies and procedures.
  • Mandatory deep technical and electronic knowledge.
  • Strong verbal, written and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Good understanding of relationship types and ability to work in a matrix organization.
  • Fluent in Italian (mother tongue) and English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with various client and supplier types.
  • Good time management, problem solving and stress management abilities.
  • Team player with a professional approach; highly customer-focused and proactive.
