MISSION :

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Project Leader to join our R&D team. You will lead and manage cross-functional development projects from concept to commercialization, coordinating efforts across research, engineering, quality, marketing, and manufacturing teams to ensure successful project execution on time and within scope.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  1. Product Development:
  2. Create formulations in the kitchen lab, scale up in pilot plants, and deploy at the main plant as per brief and within budget.
  3. Ensure product briefs comply with nutrition and environmental policies; collaborate with quality teams to ensure food safety conformity.
  4. Develop technical datasheets and SOPs to guarantee product quality, food safety, and production standards, ensuring compliance with GB standards and regulations.
  5. Conduct sensory evaluations of ingredients and finished products, utilizing organoleptic descriptors for sensory characterization.
  6. Stay updated on consumer food trends, new ingredients, and vendor capabilities.

Project Management:

  1. Manage low-complexity technical projects related to new products, line extensions, and quality or productivity initiatives.
  2. Ensure flawless project execution following governance standards to deliver on time and in full.
  3. Coordinate with Operations & Supply Chain functions, including technical category managers, purchasing, planning, factory teams, and marketing.
  4. Lead product improvement and value engineering projects, identifying potential savings and maintaining product superiority.
  5. Provide technical expertise to production, quality, and purchasing departments.

Requirements:

  1. University Degree in Food Science, Technology, Engineering, Chemistry, Pharmacy, or related fields.
  2. At least 3 years of R&D experience in the food industry, with a proven track record in product development or project management roles.
  3. Willingness to travel approximately 25% across Europe.
  4. Fluent in English and Italian; knowledge of Spanish, German, French, or Dutch is a plus.

The position is based in Agrate, Italy.
