The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of experience in system administration, a strong command of Linux and Windows Server, and be fluent in both English and Italian. Overview

Job Title: System Administrator (Linux / Windows)

Duration: 12 month contract

Workload: Full time hours

Setup: Freelance (Daily rate / Limited Company / Umbrella / Sole Trader)

Location: Remote

We’re seeking a proactive and communicative System Administrator to join a fully remote team starting September for a minimum 12-month contract.

The client has an office in Milan, so possible trips there is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support Linux and Windows environments across distributed systems.
• Collaborate with international teams, requiring fluent English and Italian.
• Ensure system reliability, security, and performance through proactive monitoring and maintenance.

Must-Have Skills

• 3–4 years of hands-on experience in system administration.
• Strong command of Linux (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS) and Windows Server environments.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Fluency in English and Italian (spoken and written).

Nice-to-Have

• Exposure to DevOps practices and tools.
• Familiarity with OpenShift or container orchestration platforms.
