Job Description

You will act as a technical expert in Clocking/PLL, Analog, and Mixed-Signal technologies for automotive microcontroller applications, providing third-level support and enabling customer solutions at the system level. You will collaborate closely with R&D as the “voice of the customer” to improve products, technical documentation, and enable cutting-edge features.

In your new role you will:

  • Become a member of a highly specialized application engineering team, enabling customers using Infineon’s automotive microcontrollers
  • Be a technical expert for Clocking/PLL, Analog and Mixed-Signal in Automotive Microcontroller Applications Engineering
  • Act as third-level support of Clocking/PLL, Mixed-Signal cluster of our complex microcontroller products
  • Contribute to giving technical direction to in-house R&D as “voice of the customer” to improve product and technical documentation
  • Enable customers to design sophisticated analog circuits on system-level to implement switching, clocking, filtering (SW & HW), signal conversion, and further analog functionality
  • Contribute to enable customer solutions using our built-in Oscillators, PLL, SAR ADC, Delta-Sigma ADC, Converter DSP, DAC of our 32-bit microcontrollers
  • Review and release technical documentation in cooperation with global teams
  • Conduct feasibility, benchmarking, and development studies for embedded automotive solutions, covering concept studies, software requirements, and hardware aspects
  • Perform lab testing on system level to debug customer problems, validate their concepts, and develop basic examples to showcase features of our solutions
  • Conduct trainings and workshops in your area of technical expertise for Field Application Engineers or customers
  • Collaborate and share your knowledge with R&D, Validation, Verification and Production Test teams
Your Profile

As a proactive and enthusiastic team player with deep expertise in Clocking/PLL, Analog, and Mixed-Signal technologies, you'll leverage your strong communication skills to provide advanced technical support, acting as the link between customer needs and Infineon's innovative solutions. With a flexible and hands-on approach, you'll tackle complex system-level challenges and enable customer applications.

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Information Technology, or a similar field of study
  • At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in automotive projects with experience in Clocking, Analog, and Mixed-Signal in embedded microcontrollers
  • A clear track record of actively driving complex problems to a solution by technically advising teams and consolidating their deliveries
  • A know-how in dealing with customers and working as an interface between internal R&D and external partners
  • Functional safety knowledge (FUSA / ISO26262) - as a plus
  • Availability to travel from time to time
  • Fluency in English
