A prestigious passenger cruise line is hiring a Ship's Doctor to provide medical care for passengers and crew. Candidates must have a Medical Degree, be registered with the Italian Medical Council, and hold relevant certifications. The position includes a gross monthly salary of €10,000 and performance bonuses, with accommodation and meals provided onboard. The role requires commitment to work for approximately 6 months per year with stable rotations.

Competenze

Overview

We're Hiring : Ship’s Doctor – Cruise Ship Assignment. Join the medical team of a prestigious passenger cruise line sailing under the Italian flag!

Your Role

Provide medical care to both passengers and crew, working as part of a structured onboard medical department under the supervision of a Medical Director.

Requirements

• Medical Degree and specialization (Anesthesiology, Emergency Medicine, Critical Care, or equivalent)
• Minimum 3 years post-grad clinical experience
• At least 6 months in emergency settings (ER, ICU, ambulance, etc.)
• Registered with an Italian Medical Council (Ordine dei Medici)
• Fluent in English (B2 level or higher)
• Valid ACLS, ATLS, APLS (or equivalent)
• Willingness to work onboard ~6 months / year (split into 3–4 month contracts)
• Compulsory certification for navigation (STCW) or willingness to obtain the courses
• Strong clinical documentation & IT skills

Important for EU Doctors

EU candidates must have their qualifications recognized by the Italian Ministry of Health, be registered with an Italian Medical Council, and obtain a Medico di Bordo license.

• 1 Medical Director
• 1 Ship’s Doctor (this position)
• 3 Registered Nurses
• 1 Nursing Coordinator
• 2 Medical Secretaries
