Job Description
Your responsibilities
- Develop process engineering for service projects, ensuring compliance with deadlines and technical specifications, including:
- Process Flow Diagram (PFD) and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) development
- Sizing of static and rotating equipment, control and safety valves, and related technical documentation
- Heat and Material Balance, process simulation (advantageous)
- Technical evaluation and supplier offer comparison
- Participation in safety studies and reviews
- Support commissioning with control optimizations and plant performance testing
- Ensure compliance with HSE requirements
- Prepare procedural documents, including designs, balance sheets, and data sheets
- Define technical guarantees, assess risks, and develop measures outside standard guarantees
- Ensure process engineering implementation aligns with project concepts and HZI guidelines
- Prepare operating manuals and technical documents for procurement and system inquiries
- Conduct technical meetings during procurement negotiations
- Perform plant analyses, studies, and concept development for optimization
- Prepare project-specific documentation and support official inspections and tests
Qualifications and Experience- Safety and customer-oriented mindset
- Experience in Oil & Gas, Energy sector, Waste to Energy, Renewable Energies, or Chemistry
- High autonomy in managing complex systems
- Knowledge in system development, optimization, and cost awareness
- Experience with international project teams is advantageous
- Ability to develop concepts for EfW and industrial plant applications
- Analysis skills of OEM technologies and enhancement solutions
- Process handling across work stages
- Good process knowledge of HZI systems and Waste to Energy plants is advantageous
- Operational knowledge and plant experience are beneficial
- Hands-on mentality, decision-making, problem-solving, and complex situation management skills
- Self-driven, solution-oriented, and communicative
- Proficiency in engineering tools, MS Office, especially Excel, and presentation skills
- Fluent English (minimum B2); additional languages advantageous
