This role involves managing electrical systems, testing and implementing automation systems, as well as supporting customers and collaborating with other departments on projects. Ideal candidates will have a technical diploma, at least 3 years of relevant experience with PLC and HMI, and strong communication skills in English. Introduction

Kaak Ovens & Proofers is an ever-expanding company, and we are looking for a figure to be included as a Service Automation Engineer in our Service Department team. You will report directly to the Head of After Sales.

Job responsibilities

• Manage electrical systems, including power, communications, and data.
• Test automated systems using PLC and HMI programs.
• Test, implement and manage the automation systems of the products made by the company on the hardware and software side.
• Maintenance and updating of control systems.
• Maintain clear and accurate documentation of automation equipment and processes.
• Identify, evaluate, and resolve software / hardware problems.
• Support the Commissioning team in starting the machines.
• Solve any problems related to automated processes, intervening in time, to restore the operation of the plants.
• Support customers who require assistance by phone and remote control.
• Collaborate with other business functions for the development of new projects or required service activities.

Job requirements

• Diploma or technical qualification
• Proven experience of at least 3 years with the following PLC and HMI programming systems
• Siemens technology : Tia Portal + Simatic Manager
• Allen Bradley / Rockwell Technology : Factory Talk, Studio 5000
• SEW technology : Movitools (Movitrac type B), Movisuite (Movitrac type C), Movidrive, MoviPLC (servo)
• Programming languages : SCL, KOP / LADDER, AWL
• Good English communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Able to travel for short trips in Italy and abroad as needed.
