A leading global insurer is seeking a Senior Underwriter Property in Milan. The successful candidate will manage both new and renewal business, ensuring the profitability of client accounts while providing expert advice on risk management. Responsibilities also include reviewing applications, determining risk levels, and maintaining strong relationships with brokers and clients. Joining AXA XL as an experienced Underwriter you will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of clients to provide an innovative and bespoke underwriting service. Each risk we consider is unique which means our clients and brokers should enjoy a best practice, market-leading experience of working with us.
In your underwriting role you will be responsible for writing new and renewal business for an allocated range of clients across the book, working with brokers and clients in support of the profitable growth of a portfolio in line with the agreed Business Plan, as well as developing high quality levels of relationships with brokers, clients and internal functions.
This is a regulated role under the Central Bank of Ireland’s Fitness and Probity regime.

You will be based in the AXA XL Milan office and report to the Underwriting Manager Property, Energy & Construction, Italy.
