A leading international engineering firm in Milan seeks a Senior Instrumentation Engineer to join the SMAUT Department. This role entails preparing Instrumentation elements and managing technical documentation for projects in the Energy Carriers line. Candidates should possess a Technical Diploma or Master's degree in Electrical or Chemical Engineering and have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role. Proficiency in English and the capability to work in a multicultural team are essential. The position is permanent, with travel requirements for projects in and out of Italy.

Competenze

  • Proven experience (at least 5 years) in similar positions.
  • Strong knowledge of English language (B2 level).
  • Ability to independently develop technical specifications and installation designs.

Mansioni

  • Prepare Instrumentation elements and quantities for estimates.

DEPARTMENT / FUNCTION : Instrumentation, Automation & Telecommunication Department. (SMAUT Dept.)

As Senior Instrumentation Engineer, you will join our Department of SMAUT, in the business line Energy Carriers, conducting the following activities

  • Prepare Instrumentation elements (tagged items and bulk material), quantities for cost and erection works estimates
  • Define engineering design basis and guidelines Prepare Instrumentation technical specifications, data sheets, installation specifications and drawings, BOQs and MTOs
  • Prepare the technical documentation for Instrumentation elements material and services requisitions and prepare, according to internal procedures, the technical evaluations
  • Participate to P and ID mechanization
  • Validate Vendor control valves and safety valves sizing calculations, measurements elements sizing calculations
  • Review Client technical documentation and requirements
  • Coordinate subcontracted engineering activities and control subcontracted engineering documents
  • Optimise Instrumentation design ensuring minimal cost and complexity in compliance with the contractual and safety requirements
  • Perform site engineering activities during construction and commissioning phases.

QUALIFICATION : Technical Diploma or Master's degree obtained in Electrical / Chemical Engineering or equivalent.

KNOWLEDGE OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE : B2

LABOUR RELATIONSHIP : permanent contract

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
  • Proven experience (at least 5 years) in the same or similar positions with International Main Contracting & Engineering Companies.
  • The ideal candidate shall have the following Technical Skills :
  • Independently develop technical specifications, datasheets and installation designs for the various types of Instruments / analyzers / bulk material
  • Interface himself / herself independently with the other engineering disciplines and with the suppliers, in order to identify optimized solutions from a technical / economical point of view
  • Finalize the release of technical evaluation for the purchase of the various types of instruments / analyzers / bulk material
  • Independently solve various interdisciplinary issues that may occur during the project activities

SOFT SKILLS : Strong attitude to work in a multicultural environment and in team.

LOCATION : Milano HO. Availability to travel for short and long period in Italy and abroad
