We are looking for a Senior Embedded Engineer to join our R&D team and contribute to design, develop and test firmware and libraries for microcontrollers/microprocessors used in Arduino or other embedded platforms (e.g. Yocto Linux, etc.). Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.
  • PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 2+ years of academic or work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
What you’ll work on
  • Design, develop, code, test and debug embedded software (C++, C)
  • Prototype a product solution from research to production
  • Most of the code will be open‑source; we require high quality when coding and documenting
  • Maintain and improve the code
  • Spread the Arduino verb at conferences and with the developer community
  • Collaborate with hardware design team – review code
  • Review hardware designs
What you bring
  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer Science or equivalent field
  • At least 5 years experience in firmware and libraries development (C, C++)
  • Experience with JTAG and other debugging tools (gdb/valgrind)
  • Familiarity with Linux kernel or userspace programming
  • Extensive experience in hardware debugging
  • Knowledge of IoT protocols (MQTT, CoAP, HTTP, TCP, UDP, AMQP) and GitHub
  • Broad knowledge of Git flow
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written – mandatory
Bonus Points
  • Knowledge of the Arduino ecosystem
  • Experience with Golang and/or Python
