We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst / Senior Accountant who will be responsible for general accounting, financial analysis, preparing Italian statutory financial statements, monthly reporting to foreign Corporate Headquarter and support the external consultant in preparing tax disclosures.

The resource will join the Italian Finance team and will collaborate with both the Finance Department of the Canadian Headquarter and the administrative Office of the Polish subsidiary, reporting to the Italian CEO.

The candidate, who will work under local supervision, will be responsible for:

  • Accounting, monthly accruals, assets, cost/revenue reconciliations, trial balances, and variance analysis;
  • Supervision of the accounting of a European subsidiary (in collaboration with the foreign consultant);
  • Fulfillment of tax and civil law obligations, including financial statements, VAT returns, tax returns, and any other mandatory declarations or communications;
  • Monthly financial reporting to Canadian Headquarters;
  • Planning and execution of the annual audit process, ad hoc analysis, and assistance to auditors;
  • Transfer pricing policy and documentation, including preparation of calculation schedules for national documentation and the Group master file, as well as management of intra-group transactions (with the support of an external consultant);
  • Implementation and/or management of internal controls;
  • Support to managers in budget preparation.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Business Administration, or equivalent;
  • At least 10 years of experience in the role;
  • Advanced accounting and reporting experience in international contexts;
  • Excellent knowledge of Italian accounting standards and IFRS;
  • Advanced knowledge and use of Excel;
  • Excellent knowledge and use of SAP;
  • Excellent time management skills, with attention to tight deadlines;
  • Excellent multi-tasking skills;
  • Attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Fluent English.
