The role involves reviewing technical documentation, preparing safety deliverables, and participating in risk assessments for major projects. Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in the Oil & Gas sector and a degree in Environmental or Chemical Engineering. Fluency in English is essential. We are looking for a Senior DHSE Engineer to join our Engineering Team in Milan!

Responsibilities

• Review contractual technical documentation and requirements.
• Prepare the deliverables issued by DHSE discipline: hazardous area classifications, HSED Plans / Philosophies, active and passive fire protection specifications, close-out reports of workshops performed during the Project, etc.
• Review third party risk assessment studies (like FERA, QRA, dispersion analysis, dropped object study, EIA, noise study, RAM analysis).
• Perform hydraulic analysis for fire water networks design / verification.
• Review Vendor documentation relevant to Fire Fighting Equipment and interact with Suppliers for the technical issues (Vendor follow-up).
• Participate to HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, SIMOPS and other Risk Assessment and Safety Equipment workshops.
• Perform / participate to squad checks.
• Review Tender Documentation and prepare clarification requests during bid phase.
• Plan his work to meet the given schedule.

Requirements

• DHSE Engineering background
• Knowledge of main DHSE international codes, standards and best engineering practices (API, IEC, NFPA, etc)
• Experience in DHSE Engineering in EPC Oil & Gas / Petrochemical / Energy projects (minimum 5 years)
• English fluency is essential, French highly desirable
• Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Environmental or Chemical Engineering
• Good proficiency of software used for DHSE Activities
