The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly ambitious and analytical Junior Sales Development Associate to kick-start a career in high-tech agricultural sales. This entry-level role is perfect for a recent graduate eager to apply their academic knowledge in a dynamic commercial environment, focusing on the key European vegetable seed markets.This position is designed as a foundational step for a future Area Sales Manager, providing intensive training and direct exposure to commercial strategy, market development, and client acquisition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Market Analysis & Lead Generation : Conduct in-depth research to map the European vegetable seed markets, identifying high-potential target companies, breeders, and industry influencers.
  • Sales Prospecting : Support the senior sales team by initiating outreach (email, phone, digital) to qualify leads, introduce Seed-X’s AI value proposition, and book initial exploratory meetings.
  • Technical Communication : Rapidly develop an understanding of Seed-X's GeNee™ technology and effectively communicate its value—the intersection of AI, computer vision, and plant genetics, to technical and commercial stakeholders.
  • CRM Management : Utilize our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system daily to meticulously track all market activity, maintain lead data, and assist in sales forecasting.
  • Commercial Support : Prepare sales materials, presentations, and market reports. Assist in setting up and tracking pilot projects and commercial trials.
Candidate Profile
Essential Qualifications
  • Education : Recent completion of a Master's degree in Agricultural Sciences, Plant Sciences, Agribusiness, Biotechnology, or a related field.
  • A degree from Wageningen University & Research (WUR) or a similar globally recognized agricultural institution is highly desirable.
  • Ambition & Drive : Demonstrable passion for the AgTech sector and a clear, stated ambition for a long-term sales career.
  • Analytical Skills : Strong ability to synthesize technical information and market data into actionable commercial insights.
Preferred Attributes
  • Commercial Mindset : While no direct experience is required, a demonstrated aptitude or coursework focused on business development, economics, or commercial strategy is a plus.
  • Technology Interest : A genuine interest in the application of AI, machine learning, and data science in agriculture.
  • Communication : Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and articulate presence suitable for engaging with industry leaders.
