Regional Sales Manager - Motion Control – Europe

Our client, a globally active leader in the Motion Control space, is looking for a Regional (Territory) Sales Manager focused partially on Italy and primarily on nearby countries (France, Spain and Netherlands). This is a customer-facing role in selling high-precision single- and multi-axis motion controllers, servos, drives and motors.

The company's servo drives technology enables the world's most advanced robotics, medical devices, semiconductors, and industrial automation equipment. The company is growing and we are looking for a Regional Sales Manager to join the team.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for growth of sales in region assigned, through expansion with existing customers and identification of new potential markets, customers, and opportunities.
  • Management of existing projects & customers including OEMs and Value-Added Resellers
  • Develop and deploy a territory business plan that details new business opportunities and sustainable growth.
  • Maintain, contact and visit regularly existing customers and potential customers.
  • CRM Way of Life – Maintain CRM system (Salesforce) and use tools for effective customer & opportunity tracking, and report generation on present and future sales opportunities.
  • Increase sales on an annual basis. Targeting 20% YOY growth.
  • Utilize technical staff to assist in satisfying potential and current customer application needs.
  • Participate in identifying and sharing market trends, future customer needs and defined future company products and solutions – provide information to marketing as requested.
  • Become proficient on products/solutions including features, benefits and technical advantages to present to customers and justify premium status of products.
  • Handling incoming leads for the territory.
  • Understand the needs of customers to create proposals that are strategic and target the specific requirements for that particular customer.
  • Produce strategic quotes, follow up on quotes, convert quote to order and follow-up on orders to maintain exceptional customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • MUST: Degree in Engineering [Electrical or Mechanical]
  • MUST: Sales experience of 3+ years.
  • MUST: Relevant knowledge in Mechatronics/Electricity/Software/Quality/Environmental Condition.
  • MUST: Understanding of servo and automation systems.
  • MUST: Hunter Mentality, Self-Starter.
  • MUST: Speak fluent Italian and English. Advantage if speak Spanish, Dutch, French).
  • Experience with using CRM consistently (Salesforce an advantage).
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient use of Office S/W (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • This position requires 60% travel.
  • The Regional Sales Manager will report to the Europe Director of Sales.
  • This territory includes primarily France, Netherlands and Spain, with some Italy.
