Overview

BYD Europe BV located in Hoofddorp, Netherlands. BYD Europe BV offers a full line of BYD electric vehicles, including all-electric cars, all-electric buses, and all-electric forklift trucks. We are looking for an ambitious and motivated Regional Sales Manager to join our team and help grow our forklifts and material handling equipment business both in Italy and abroad.

Responsibilities
  • Operate under the supervision of the Country Manager and European Director, both in Italy and internationally
  • Support and develop sales activities through the Dealer network across assigned territories
  • Promote and sell forklifts products to direct customers
  • Support the local dealer network by visiting clients, providing commercial support, and identifying sales opportunities
  • Manage relationships with existing customers and build trust with new ones
  • Visit key customers to strengthen business relationships and promote solutions and sales
  • Meet and exceed commercial targets set by the Country Manager and European Director and provide regular reports
  • Understand customer needs and offer tailored solutions from our product portfolio
  • Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis for the Country Manager and European Director
  • Identify and pursue new B2B opportunities in target markets
  • Attend industry events, exhibitions, and customer meetings as needed
  • Remain updated on product developments, market trends, and competitors
Qualifications
  • Educational background in Business/Economics or Engineering (preferred)
  • Experience as a sales Manager in the material handling sector or relevant B2B industries. Knowledge of the forklift/material handling market is a significant advantage
  • Strong sales, negotiation, and communication capabilities
  • Customer-centric mindset and problem-solving approach
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Honest, resilient, flexible, and open-minded personality
  • Results-driven with a clear focus on commercial objectives
  • Fluent in English and Italian; knowledge of an additional language is an asset
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Willingness to travel frequently across Italy and abroad
  • Experience working in multicultural environments or demonstrated cultural awareness
  • Ability to build strong relationships and act as a trusted advisor to senior dealer management
  • International mindset with business maturity and understanding of global trade dynamics
