A federal organization in Lentini, Italy, seeks a Recreation Assistant to support planning and daily operations at Liberty Recreation Centers. Responsibilities include organizing activities, maintaining resources, and providing exceptional customer service. Applicants must possess a valid US driver's license and demonstrate strong communication skills. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage with service members and contribute to their recreational experiences.
This position is assigned to the Liberty/Fleet Recreation Centers, Community Recreation Division, Morale Welfare and Recreation Department. The primary purpose of the position is to assist the Liberty Manager with planning recreation activities and conducting daily operations of the Recreation Centers. The Liberty Program's primary target audience is the E1‑E6 single or unaccompanied service member population at NAS Sigonella.
Conditions of employment:
Six months of general experience & six months of specialized experience OR successful completion of 2 years of study above high school that included at least 12 semester hours in courses related to recreation.
Any type of work that demonstrates the applicant’s ability to perform the work of the position.
Experience at the next lower level that has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties described above and that is typically in or related to the work of this position.
