A leading engineering firm located in Lazio, Roma, is seeking a Quality and Safety Officer to oversee the implementation and effectiveness of the Quality Management System and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. This role involves leading continuous improvement projects, preparing reports for senior management, and maintaining the Risk Assessment Document. Candidates must have strong organizational skills, be fluent in both Italian and English, and preferably hold a Bachelor’s degree.
The Quality and Safety Officer reports to the Quality and Safety Manager, who is responsible for leading and coordinating the integrated Quality and Safety Management Systems across the organization, with a strong focus on employee health and safety and company quality standards.
The Officer oversees the implementation and effectiveness of the Quality Management System (ISO 9001) ensuring cross-departmental integration.
The Officer supervises internal audits, non-conformity management, and corrective / preventive actions, ensuring alignment with company standards and customer requirements.
The Officer ensures compliance with current health and safety laws and regulations, identifies risks, proposes preventive and corrective measures, and promotes awareness and training initiatives.
The Officer leads continuous improvement projects by analyzing data and KPIs, identifying inefficiencies, and proposing innovative solutions.
Reporting and Communication : The Officer assists the Q&S Manager to prepares periodic reports for senior management, providing detailed analysis and strategic proposals.
Cross-Functional Projects : The Officer supports the Q&S Manager in managing specific projects related to quality and safety, acting as a technical and operational reference point.
Organizational Relationships : The Officer works cross-functionally with all company departments, in particular with the HR department, acting as a facilitator and coordinator for quality and safety matters.
Develops and maintains the Risk Assessment Document (DVR).
Promotes a strong safety culture through awareness campaigns and training.
Collaborates with the Company’s appointed medical doctor and cross-functional teams.
Provides safety support during new employee onboarding.
Oversees the Quality Management System to ensure compliance with ISO 9001: 2015 standard.
Coordinates internal audits and supports external certification audits.
Maintaines all quality documentation, including manuals, procedures, and work instructions.
Leads quality-focused training and communication initiatives.
Assistant for the Prevention and Protection Service (ASPP) required, Responsible for Prevention and Protection Service (RSPP) preferred.
High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
Thorough knowledge of health, safety, and quality regulations.
Proactivity, sense of initiative, ability to organization and time management.
Team-oriented with high collaboration skills.
Mandatory fluent in Italian and English (written and spoken).
