Competenze

Nidec Conversion is hiring a Proposal Manager for the Cinisello Balsamo site.

The resource will be assigned within the technical-commercial department related to the Power Quality / Power Electronics business unit.

The candidate will be responsible for managing offer preparation, including technical sizing and cost evaluation/analysis.

Strong commitment to transversal activities, such as interaction with R&D, Electrical Engineering, and Sales teams, is mandatory.

The candidate shall contact suppliers for quotations, technical alignment, and offer optimization to improve the quotation package.

PRINCIPLE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES

The candidate will:

  • Receive Customer’s RFQ from the sales department
  • Interpret Customer’s request and identify Customer’s needs

Analyze input documentation (Customer specifications and technical bid)

  • Identify the technical solution best fitting the functional and performance requirements (also using various simulation tools for steady state and transient network study) with the lower cost
  • Estimate the costs of internal and external materials, equipment, works, and services constituting the technical solution
  • Maintain contacts with suppliers in coordination with the supply chain team
  • Estimate the workload required by the project in terms of Application Engineering, R&D, and Project Management
  • Prepare detailed documentation to support a bid for a project

Make remarks and comments to customer project specifications relevant to the proposed solution

  • Work closely with sales and technical teams to provide a complete and competitive technical solution
  • Participate in customer meetings such as solution presentations and technical clarifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Education and Qualifications

  • University Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical experience
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • SAP, AutoCAD, and network analyzing tools (e.g., Neplan) are preferred qualifications

Experience & Knowledge

  • Technical background in Medium Voltage Power Conversion, preferably in Power Quality
  • Knowledge of MV equipment: Circuit breakers, air core reactors, transformers, switchgears, disconnector switches, etc.
  • Experience in power quality solutions for industrial (mining, metals, etc.), renewable, and utility sectors, such as Statcom and SVC
  • Knowledge of grid code standards is preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years in similar roles
