A leading engineering company in Milan is seeking an experienced engineering project manager to oversee engineering activities related to machinery and package engineering. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years in an engineering role, a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, and proven budget management skills. Responsibilities include developing project plans, monitoring progress, and ensuring compliance with quality standards. This role is vital for delivering effective engineering solutions in diverse fields including Oil & Gas and Renewable Energy.

that will ensure that activities related to the discipline of machinery and package engineering within the assigned project are performed efficiently and cost-effectively, in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety / environmental requirements.

Engineering Activity Coordination

• Develop the project document list together with the Project Manager at project start-up
• Ensure proper coordination among the various engineering disciplines involved (both internal and outsourced), preventing inconsistencies between documents
• Participate in and lead technical meetings with the Customer, involving time by time the necessary project specialists
• Guarantee the proper knowledge and application of the project requirements among the engineering team

Planning and assurance

• Develop detailed engineering project plans, including, as necessary, milestones, timelines, resource allocation, and budgeting, in accordance with the general project schedule developed by the Project Manager
• Ensuring that the engineering activities (preparation, submission, revision of engineering deliverables and tasks) are carried out according to schedule
• Monitor and report on the progress and possible deviations of the project

Budget and Resource Management

• Drawing up and monitoring project budgets (internal manhours and outsourced engineering services)
• Ensuring the efficient use of engineering competencies and capacities, periodically re-checking the suitability of the project-assigned resources and escalating to Disc. Leaders and HoE in case of resources-related criticalities

Change Management

• Support Project Manager in managing contract changes towards Customer, highlighting any potential change opportunity and taking care of the engineering impacts estimation

Quality and Risk Management

• Analyze and solve technical and organizational problems that arise during project implementation
• Ensuring compliance with safety, quality standards and procedures within engineering projects
• Identifying potential risks and developing strategies to manage or mitigate them
• Conducting audits and quality checks to ensure that projects meet the required specifications

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Technical and / or Project Management, or a related field. At least 5 years of experience in an engineering environment, Proven track record in a technical position.
