An innovative and fast-growing international renewable energy company is seeking a Project Development Engineer to support the development of solar, wind, and energy storage projects across Europe. The Role

As a Project Development Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of renewable energy projects from early-stage development through to execution. You will work closely with project managers, external consultants, and engineering teams to ensure technical accuracy, regulatory compliance, and smooth project progression.

Key Responsibilities

• Support project managers with planning, coordination, and execution of development activities
• Review and assess technical project documentation (designs, drawings, technical reports, calculations)
• Coordinate with external consultants, engineering firms, and internal teams
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, permitting requirements, and local regulations
• Contribute to technical due diligence and project feasibility assessments
• Provide input during design development for solar PV, wind, and BESS projects

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Energy, or related field)
• Experience in renewable energy project development (solar, wind or BESS preferred)
• Strong capability in reviewing technical documents and engineering designs
• Knowledge of applicable industry standards and permitting processes
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally
• Self-driven, organised, and detail-oriented
• Fluent English; additional European languages a plus
• Willingness to travel occasionally as required
