A leading company in food packaging solutions is seeking a Production Intern to support the Production Engineers team. The role involves working on production processes, loss analysis, and participating in improvement teams. Candidates should be enrolled in a Master's program in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, fluent in Italian and English, and able to work independently and in a team. Job Summary

We are looking for a Production Intern to support the Production Engineers team leading innovation and continuous improvement through World Class. This position will support production processes in identifying losses and countermeasures with the aim of eradication. You will learn about WCM in an advanced factory, take part in Kaizen Teams with a focus on Lean concepts, deal with organization and presentation to internal and external auditors, cooperate with several stakeholders including Quality Maintenance and Customer Service, and build your knowledge on how the packaging material is produced.

This is a six‑month curricular internship position based in Tetra Pak Carta in Rubiera, Italy starting on 1st February.

What you will do
  • Support and collaborate with Production Process Cells in a daily management system; recurrence management
  • Support and participate in WCM improvement teams or Pillars
  • General administrative support to production and WCM activities
  • Support factory loss intelligence; carry out loss analysis and suggest improvements
  • Support KPIs of production processes: planning, control, and tracking
  • Work with benchmarks to standardize the process and boost best practices execution
  • Develop data acquisition system and data analysis
  • Improve efficiency of the production processes and reduce material waste
  • You will support the Warehouse Department by working closely with warehouse administrators to manage factory logistics and enhance operational efficiency
We believe you have
  • You are a Masters student in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation or similar (active student status is a must)
  • You are available for a 6‑month full time temporary curricular internship (you can develop your masters thesis during the internship)
  • Fluent in Italian and English both written and spoken
  • MS Office level is advanced
  • Fair communication skills
  • You are able to work independently as well as part of a team structured approach
  • Good competence in data modelling, data analysis and data visualization
  • Basic competences of Project Management
  • Basic knowledge of Lean principles
  • Knowledge of BI tools (Power BI) is considered a plus
  • Administrative organized systematic and consistent result oriented with a strong personal drive
