Overview

Engine I, II, III – Remote – Full‑time, Non‑exempt. Congruex, a broadband and wireless communication infrastructure company, seeks an Engineer to join our engineering team.

Job Summary

Responsible for the engineering design and drafting of high‑quality OSP and/or ISP workprints while meeting client deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Produce cost‑effective engineered designs for construction, splice, install and maintain fiber and copper systems.
• Identify assigned fiber/copper pairs at strategic access points and design aerial and/or underground paths from point A to point B.
• Attach fiber/copper cables to poles and place cables in underground environments.
• Engineer in public right‑of‑way and on private property, avoiding conflict with existing facilities.
• Initiate internal work order requests to complete entire projects.
• Maintain accurate project tracking systems and status updates.
• Communicate issues to management before reaching critical status.
• Develop and maintain complete project files, ensuring integrity and completeness.
• Always meet or exceed internal and external quality standards and on‑time delivery.

Qualifications – Minimum

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Deadline driven, self‑motivated, technically savvy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Superior time management and strong attention to detail.
• Flexible, capable of taking direction with ease.
• Critical thinking skills, professional tact, and superior customer service.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM discipline preferred.
• Construction experience preferred; field experience preferred.
• Telecommunications, outside plant engineering design, and field inspection experience.
• Fiber networking, routing, and network management knowledge.
• Broadband network design and architecture knowledge.
• AutoCAD, MicroStation, GIS, or client proprietary design systems experience.
