The NPI (New Product Introduction) Specialist will lead and manage the full process of new parts introductions (NPI), analysing, planning and reviewing ECN implementation from initiating a detailed ECN change form (CIB – Change Implementation Board) to monitor the running change introduction for a specific family product. This position collaborates on the make vs buy analysis, coordinates the ECN activities for Manufacturing Engineering and works with other departments to ensure a timely implementation and minimize obsolescence. The NPI Specialist will also update and maintain item master data and collaborate in the resolution of problems linked to the BOM.

Your Impact

  • Implement ECNs following the timeline and schedule agreed in the CIB
  • Follow up and prioritize PPR ECN through the implementation process
  • Determine the make vs buy
  • Prepare the Picking List and agree parts flow with logistics engineer
  • Document the impact of the ECNs
  • Ensure the correctness of the item master
  • Communicate with engineering on problems related to the ECN or to parts assemblability (EPR)
  • Cost/Benefit analysis of NPI project

Your Experience And Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management Engineering/Industrial Engineer or high school diploma in mechanical technology preferred
  • Must have advanced English communication skills
  • Base knowledge of stage and gate process
  • Base knowledge of BOM and routing
  • Good ERP skills (BAAN, SAP)
  • Base knowledge of product cost structure
