We are looking for a Navigation System Engineer. Your responsibilities will include supporting the design of processes for the assembly, integration, and verification of satellite navigation systems. Your role will be integral to aiding the AIV Design & Planning Engineer in defining and executing test strategies and qualification campaigns. The work will be based in Rome, with occasional travel for on‑site testing or customer meetings.
You’ll closely collaborate with the TASI System Navigation team, and you will also have the possibility to explore opportunities for temporary relocations outside Italy.
Fluent English, spoken and written.
The ideal candidate has a strong inclination towards teamwork and is at ease mediating even between different requests. Open minded to different cultures in working, he always uses a collaborative approach, helping to find shared solutions.
Experience in SW development (C, C++, Linux/Unix, Bash, Python) and knowledge of networking aspects (LAN, WAN structures, IP/Uni‑Multi UDP/TCP/FTP/SFTP, Security architectures, FWs, Switches, Routing rules, VPNs) would be very useful in conducting the activity and appreciated.
Background on telecommunications, with special focus on satellite navigation systems, is a plus.
Eligibility to personal clearance is required.
