Your contribution to Prysmian's Success:

We are looking for a Mechanical Testing Engineer to join our HQ team based in Quattordio (AL).

Reporting directly to the R&D testing laboratory Director you will:

  • Be in charge of mechanical tests on submarine cable systems to assess their capability to withstand mechanical stresses.
  • Set up optimized test circuit, measure instruments and liaise with the internal customers / engineering teams (HQ departments or local R&D) to understand the Project needs.
  • Coordinate laboratory operators involved in the testing, run the testing activities and analyse the test results.
  • Define the scheduling of the tests and lead R&D related projects.
You are the right fit if you have/are:
  • Around 2 years of experience in esting laboratories.
  • Fluent in English both written and spoken.
  • A master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills.
  • Decision making attitude, critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Strong teamwork skills, results oriented and ambitious mindset.
