As a Lead Maintainability Engineer, you will be responsible for driving the strategic integration of maintainability principles within the architectural design of new products, equipment, and Oil&Gas plants. You will ensure flawless maintenance and installation execution while creating innovative solutions that enhance productivity and customer satisfaction. In this role, you will blend your expertise in mechanical design with advanced maintenance engineering to develop cutting-edge tools and methods for new product developments (NPD) and retrofits.


As a Lead Maintainability Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading design activities and reviews, providing technical guidance to embed maintainability considerations early in the product development lifecycle.
  • Mentoring and motivating cross-functional teams—spanning design, installation, and supply chain—to achieve on-time delivery and technical excellence.
  • Coordinating with internal stakeholders and global/local vendors to ensure consistent maintenance methodologies and seamless installation practices.
  • Driving continuous improvement by identifying process inefficiencies and implementing strategic enhancements.
  • Leading design activities and reviews, providing technical guidance to embed maintainability considerations early in the product development lifecycle.

Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a solid engineering background, ideally based on a Bachelor or master’s degree in mechanical engineering. Degrees in Aerospace, Aeronautical or equivalent will be also considered.
  • Have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in maintenance and/or installation design.
  • Demonstrate a track record of applying innovative approaches to problem-solving and R&D initiatives.
  • Exhibit strong leadership skills, having previously led and mentored engineering teams in technically complex environments.
  • Possess a self-starting attitude and strong problem-solving mindset.
  • Be proficient in CAD software and related engineering tools, with familiarity in simulation, finite element analysis (FEA), or similar analysis methods considered an asset.
  • Being familiar with FMEA methodology to proactively identify and mitigate potential design and process risks
  • Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Show an ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously while delivering high-quality technical documentation and engineering support.
  • Ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical stakeholders with strong influencing and facilitation skills.
  • Strong communication skills, with experience creating clarity and engagement across functions.
