KCA (part of Viking EMEA) employs around 30 people and acts as Centre of Excellence for foam products development and manufacturing. KCA is trusted for its bespoke foam fire protection solutions and follows its customers anywhere in the world. From refineries in Dubai to oil platforms in the Pacific, whether in terms of product specifications or turnaround times, with its global support network KCA is a dependable partner.

At KCA our engineering skills are often used ‘on demand’ and we are happy to adapt to each client’s specific requirements. KCA’s ultimate goal has always been to develop and produce fire protection solutions according to the client’s specifications.

Driven by our continuous growth, for our manufacturing location in Bressana, Bottarone (PV), we are searching for a Quality Manager who will support the development of the business and the improvement of the quality standards.

As Quality Manager you will lead quality initiatives, drive continuous improvement and ensure the production of high-quality products within the plant. The role will cover customer quality, supplier quality, and production quality to maintain excellence across the entire supply chain.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures and systems to ensure product consistency and compliance
  • Ensure overall compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions
  • Manage customer service quality, ensuring prompt response to complaints, implementing corrective actions, and improving overall customer satisfaction
  • Oversee supplier quality by working closely with vendors to ensure compliance with specifications and continuous improvement
  • Conduct root cause analysis and drive corrective and preventive actions for non-conformances.
  • Define and track quality metrics related to the cost of non-quality and customer satisfaction to drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, to enhance quality and efficiency
  • Train plant personnel on quality procedures, fostering a culture of quality and compliance

Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; relevant experience in a similar role may be considered in place of formal education
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a quality management role within manufacturing environment
  • Proven hands-on experience with ISO, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma methodologies
  • QHSE knowledge is beneficial
  • Proficiency in business English and Italian
  • Proficient in MS Office tool set, with advanced knowledge of Excel

Job Conditions:

  • The role requires occasional spot travelling throughout Europe for short missions
  • Contract type - C.C.N.L. Metalmeccanici (Collective National Contract for mechanical compartment employees) reporting to the plant managing director
  • Office-based in Bressana, Bottarone (PV)
