JOB PURPOSE

We are looking for an IT Business Analyst to maintain and improve our Guest processes, Onboard platforms and their integrated systems. He/She will take care of our guests from cruise reservations to final ship disembarkation, focusing on the guest experience.

IT Business Analyst plays a crucial role in shaping successful IT projects by ensuring that the business needs are clearly defined, understood, and translated into functional solutions. They serve as a liaison between business and IT teams and facilitate communication to achieve project objectives.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Engage with stakeholders to elicit and document business requirements, both functional and non-functional. This involves conducting interviews, workshops, and analyzing existing documentation to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the business needs. Map out and analyze current business processes and propose optimized future processes.
• Work closely with software developers, designers, and testers to ensure that the requirements are clearly understood and that the developed solutions meet the business needs.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders at various levels, including business users, project managers, and senior management, to ensure a shared understanding of requirements and project progress.

QUALIFICATIONS (skills, competencies, experience)

• 2 or 3 years of proven experience on managing own activities in medium to large size projects;
• 2 or 3 years of proven experience in multinational/consulting contexts;
• Possessing expertise in one of the following business areas - reservations, on-board finance, excursions, SPA, food & beverage, guest relations - will be considered a preferential qualification;
• Great communication skills to relate to and communicate clearly with business and technical stakeholders;
• Solid process and workflow mapping experience;
• Solid technical background, with understanding or hands‑on experience in software development and web technologies;
• Ideally, experience with Property Management Systems(PMS) for hospitality accommodations;
• Knowledge of project management and agile methodologies is a plus;
• Bachelor's degree required in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent);
• Fluent English and Italian spoken and written;
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, strong critical thinker with problem solving aptitude;
