A leading consumer goods company in Milan seeks an experienced Insurance Expert – Marine Area. You will manage various insurance policies including marine cargo and P&I, oversee claims from initiation to settlement, and collaborate with brokers to mitigate risks. The ideal candidate has 5-8 years in risk management within maritime operations, holds a degree in a relevant field, and is fluent in both Italian and English. This is a permanent full-time position with remote work options available.

Competenze

• 5/8 years of experience in risk management and claims handling within maritime, cargo, or shipping operations.
• Specialization in Risk Management or Insurance is considered an advantage.

Mansioni

• Management of insurance policies, with a focus on Marine Cargo, P&I, Hull & Machinery, Property, Liability, and Tampering.
• Claims management from notification to settlement, maintaining relationships with brokers.
• Risk analysis and mitigation to propose appropriate insurance solutions.

We are looking for an Insurance Expert – Marine Area to join our Group F&A Team based in Milan.

How you make the difference

You’ll play a crucial role in protecting Bolton’s assets and ensuring business continuity by minimizing financial risks through effective insurance and claims management.

Responsibilities

• Management of insurance policies, with a focus on Marine Cargo, P&I, Hull & Machinery, Property, Liability, and Tampering.
• Claims management: handling claims, overseeing the full process from notification to settlement, while maintaining strong relationships with brokers and insurance companies.
• Strong collaboration with brokers, loss adjusters, and insurance companies to ensure timely and effective solutions.
• Risk analysis and mitigation: identifying potential risks and proposing the most appropriate insurance or risk prevention solutions.
• Coordination of loss prevention activities and coordination of both insurers’ and internal stakeholders’ requests, ensuring alignment with all parties’ expectations while minimizing potential financial impacts.

Your Team

You’ll directly report to our Insurance Manager. The role doesn’t include direct reports.

What makes you a great fit

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, or related fields. A specialization in Risk Management or Insurance is considered an advantage.
• Work Experience: 5/8 years of demonstrated experience in risk management and claims handling within maritime, cargo, or shipping operations.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong knowledge of insurance programs;
• Solid understanding of claims management processes and insurance renewals;
• Familiarity with Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) principles.
• Mandatory: fluency in Italian and English, both written and spoken.
