Overview

IB English language and literature Teacher. ICS Milan International School is seeking an outstanding Secondary IB English Teacher to join our growing Secondary school. You will have recent experience of teaching English to Middle and High School students in MYP and /or iGCSE as well as to IB Diploma level. We are looking for someone who is passionate about international education, creative in their thinking and collaborative in their approach. The successful candidate will also be adaptable, motivated by challenge and an excellent, highly organised classroom practitioner.

Note: This position is not for English as a second language applicants.

• Be passionate about international education, be creative in their thinking and collaborative in their approach.
• Be adaptable, motivated by challenge and an excellent, highly organised classroom practitioner.
• We are a STEAM-focused school; you will contribute to a curriculum that integrates Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics to support student enquiry and critical thinking.

About the School

ICS Milan is a highly successful international school in Milan for children from 2-18 and part of the Globeducate school group. The school adopts a STEAM approach to learning and provides project-based learning with exposure to related skills and knowledge across subjects.

Curriculum and Programs

In Early Years we follow The British Early Years Foundation Stage. In Primary, we follow The Cambridge Primary Programme, covering English and maths, and The IPC - International Primary Curriculum, covering topic-based subjects. We are exploring the PYP to complement our IB MYP programme in Years 7-11 and the IB Diploma in Years 12 and 13. As a Paritaria school, we incorporate National recommendations for the curriculum as established by the Italian Ministry of Education for Italian language and culture. All children in the Primary school learn Italian, either as a first or second language.
